Getting Started with SREDWise

This guide will walk you through the initial steps to set up your account and prepare for a successful SRED claim process.

How to Sign Up

  1. Visit our website: Navigate to SREDWise.com and click on the [“Get Started”] (https://sredwise.com/signup) button in the hero image.

  2. Create your account: Fill in your basic information including your name, company email, and password.

  3. Verify your email: Check your inbox for a verification email and click the link to confirm your account.

  4. Start using SREDWise!: You can begin using SREDWise right away. Once we are at the stage of identifying possible features that are SR&ED eligible, you’ll be prompted to fill in payment details.

To make the most of SREDWise, you should prepare the following documents:

Work Summary and Strategy Documents

These documents are crucial for establishing the technical context and innovation aspects of your SRED claim:

SREDWise Automatic Information Collection

SREDWise will automatically search for publicly available information from your marketing site to supplement your claim data. This includes:

  • Product descriptions
  • Technical blog posts
  • White papers
  • Case studies
  • Team structure and expertise

Who Should Use SREDWise

For optimal results, SREDWise should be used by someone with comprehensive knowledge of your company’s technical activities. We recommend one of these roles:

CEO with Technical Background

Ideal if:

  • You’re leading a startup or small company
  • You have hands-on involvement in technical decision-making
  • You understand both the business context and technical challenges of your projects

Technical Lead

Ideal if:

  • You oversee the technical direction of the company
  • You’re familiar with day-to-day R&D activities

Having the right person manage your SREDWise account ensures that technical details are accurately represented and properly contextualized within your SRED claim.

Once you’ve signed up and gathered your documentation, you’re ready to:

  1. Upload your key documents
  2. Complete the technical narrative questionnaires
  3. Review the auto-generated SRED report
  4. Make any necessary edits to your T661 document
